Little details from the first half of Ultraman Arc
Sep. 24th, 2025 08:08 pmalchemicinkI've been doing another rewatch of Ultraman Arc, because -- surprise, surprise -- I am still majorly obsessed 😂 So I've been taking a lot of screenshots (for various reasons...) and there's been a few neat things I've noticed on this rewatch.
☆ in episode 1: on Yuma's TV, there's briefly footage of previous Arc fights from the past three months, and it includes Gomora and Red King!
☆ in episode 3: Yuma's grandma's nametag while she's volunteering is "Hize" which confirms she's the paternal grandparent. I wish we got her first name too tho! (She's obviously the one who raised him but now I'm wondering about Yuma's other set of grandparents)
☆ in episode 5: Rin scolds Yuma for sticking his finger in the mystery lake and tasting the water because "what if it's toxic?!" It wasn't, but after that I've been thinking about how Yuma does not have any self-preservation skills 😂 (common superhero problem)
☆ in episode 6: not a new observation, but every time I watch this episode, I get mad that they never actually get to eat the mushroom meal they ordered!! A waste!!
☆ in episode 7: at one point in one of the office scenes, you can briefly see the mark on the floor for where Yuma's actor is supposed to stand ðŸ¤
☆ in episode 8: I will do a full translation of it later, but at one point, there's a brief screenshot of the videos on Shu and Yuma's streaming channel. Yes, there are at least two videos about coffee from Shu
☆ in episode 12: they still did not eat Mr. Numata's mushroom soup in this episode either!! A waste!!
☆ in episode 13: according to Shu's report, the Givas incident happened on Sept 21, 2024
☆ miscellaneous: I noticed by episode 13 that Yuma sure does like to eavesdrop a lot 😂 and I'm definitely gonna tally up later how many times it happens
Anyway, those were some neat things I liked from the first half of the series. (Can you tell how much I love looking at background details and reading signs ðŸ¤)
