Challenge #2: Pets of Fandom
Loosely defined! Post about your pets, pets from your canon, anything you want!

I sometimes go to visit my friend's cat who is a Russian Blue, but I don't really have a cat. The closest thing to a cat is my a game that I have playing since 2017 (8 years), Animal Crossing Pocket Camp.

I did own pets in the past. Several birds, five budgies and one lovebird. After my birds passed away, I had a chameleon that was very sassy and had a whole personality. After my chameleon passed away,  I used to babysit a lot of kids.

Now I just take care of myself.... Which is a full time job in 2026 and very expensive.

I'm sure you'll have pets again in the future. My son's girlfriend has a liking for birds as well. I think she has a parrot. I have a cat though!

I'm not in a hurry to get another pet. There are others things I can do like make art and volunteer and I can even help out at an animal shelter if I want. Pets are a LOT of work even though they are VERY VERY cute.

That is true, especially the small ones. I think the hamsters I've had in the past were definitely more work than the cats. And fish - fish also need more looking after than at first you think.
