Snowflake Challenge #3
Write a love letter to fandom. It might be to fandom in general, to a particular fandom, favourite character, anything at all. I have to say that I spent over 240, maybe 650 under nook mile tickets traveling and searching for Raymond from Animal Crossing New Horizons. I think people say he's an overrated character but my friend's cat is a grey cat so it makes sense that I would have a grey cat on my island.
I do relate to him a lot. He worked an office job, probably being aware of how much EVERY SECOND of his day was being spent. He probably had to work overtime and now he's living the island life and not really knowing what day it is.
I had Ed before him and Ed WAS AWFUL and New Horizons is toned down in terms of how mean everyone is but EVERYDAY Ed would tell me how he hated how I arranged my furniture, how much I COULD be doing better, how he hated my clothing choices. He was maybe nice two days out of the week the way a clock was right two times a day. Going from Ed, who I had from April 10th-ish 2020 to December 22nd 2020, it felt like he was here forever and I was worried that Raymond be the same. He is nothing like Ed! Raymond may pull your leg every once and a while with a fake anecdote or shaggy dog tale but he's nice.
I also got Raymond TWO DAYS before Christmas and I remember that Christmas, no matter how messed up the real world was more bright that I got to spend my first one with Raymond someone I was hunting for so much.
